On Monday we learned that water magnifies light so things that bounce off something in water appear bigger. We learned this by observing the way a ruler "changes" when it is placed in water.
Tuesday-
On Tuesday we observed how a laser reacted when shined through water. The way we did this was we shined a laser on a piece of card board and marked were the dot was. Then we did the same thing except with glass of water between the cardboard and the laser and the dot was lower.
Wednesday-
On Wednesday we read an article about the particle model and the wave model.
The particle model says that light will always reflect off of any surface like a basketball and a wall.
And the wave model says that the waves will bounce off of things but they can also bend around them.
Thursday-
On Thursday we went over a video that we had to watch for home work. It was about "Bending" light. This was an example of refraction.
We also decided that if the waves are going slower then the waves are closer together and if they are going faster then they are farther apart.
Friday-
NO SCHOOL!!!

David, this is a good entry. Let’s make sure your entries are GREAT though!
You say that light waves “bends around” things. Then you say that light bends during refraction. What is the difference?
Also, because you didn’t answer the 3rd blogging question - why is this important? / what are teh real world applications?, you only claimed partial credit. Once you update your blog entry, email me so I can update your blog grade to full credit.
